Instrument Cluster Repair & Programming in Toronto
Dashboard gone dark, gauges stuck or the screen flickering? DashLabz repairs and programs instrument clusters for drivers, dealers and repair shops across Toronto and the GTA. In many cases we can fix your original cluster instead of buying a new one from the dealer.
Common instrument cluster problems we fix
- Dead, blank or black display screens
- Flickering screens and missing pixels
- Speedometer, tachometer, fuel or temperature gauges that are stuck, dead or reading wrong
- Backlight and illumination failures
- Warning lights that do not work or stay on
- Clusters that reset, reboot or lose communication with the car
- Odometer or mileage that is blank or missing
Repair or replace?
Repairing your original cluster is usually the better choice. It keeps the original mileage and programming, and it often costs less than a replacement. When a cluster cannot be repaired, we program a new or used replacement to your vehicle so it works like the original. See odometer and mileage correction for how we set replacement clusters to the correct mileage.
Digital clusters and virtual cockpits
Many newer vehicles use fully digital clusters, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi virtual cockpit, Volkswagen, Ford and GM. After a repair or replacement these clusters need coding and syncing with the car’s other modules. We handle the coding so every screen, warning light and feature works properly.
Instrument cluster replacement programming
New replacement clusters usually arrive blank, and used clusters carry the data of the car they came from. We program the replacement with your vehicle’s VIN, options and correct mileage, then test it on the car.
Vehicles we work on
We regularly work on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and Mini, plus many domestic and Asian makes including Ford, GM, Chrysler/Jeep/Ram, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Kia. Send us your VIN and a photo of the cluster and we will confirm before you come in.

Frequently asked questions
How long does instrument cluster repair take?
Many repairs are finished the same day or within 1 to 2 days. We will give you a time estimate after we look at the cluster.
Can I just drop off the cluster?
Yes. Many cluster repairs are done on the bench. You can remove the cluster yourself or bring the vehicle and we will remove it.

No. Repairing your original cluster keeps its mileage. If a replacement is needed, we program it to match your vehicle.
Is repairing a cluster cheaper than replacing it?
Usually, yes. Call 647-292-2246 with your year, make and model for a quote.
Do you repair digital instrument clusters?
Yes. We repair and code digital clusters and virtual cockpit displays on many makes.
