Airbag Module Reset in Toronto

After a collision, the airbag (SRS) control module stores crash data and locks itself, which keeps the airbag light on. A replacement module can cost far more than a reset. DashLabz resets and repairs airbag modules for drivers, body shops and repair shops across Toronto and the GTA.

Airbag module services

Crash data reset

We clear the stored crash data so your original module can be reinstalled, restoring it to working condition.

Used module setup

A used SRS module from another vehicle must be cleared and set up before it will work in yours. We can prepare it for your car.

Airbag light diagnosis

We diagnose airbag warning lights caused by sensors, seat connectors, clock springs and module faults.

Important safety note

A reset only addresses the control module. Any deployed airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and damaged crash sensors must be replaced for the system to protect you properly. We will tell you what else needs attention after a collision.

How it works

  1. Remove the module from the vehicle (or bring the car in and we can help).
  2. Drop off or send the module to us with your VIN.
  3. We reset and test the module so it is ready to reinstall.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring the whole car?

No. Most airbag module resets only need the module itself and your VIN.

Will the airbag light go off after a reset?

If the module was the only problem, yes. If other components are faulty or deployed, those must be replaced first.
